Dates: 

The Nike Marathon Marathon Festival will take place on Sunday the 11th of October, 2026.

 

Start Time & Cut Off:

The finish line will remain open until 1:30pm for all events (7:00 hour cut-off).

 

St Kilda Rd Junction Rd- 11.00am

Left Hand Turn into Southbank Blvd 10.30am

Fed Square (40km) – 11.15am

The northbound service lanes on St Kilda Rd will remain open to competitors until 10.30am.

The southbound service lanes on St Kilda Rd will remain open to competitors until 11.15am.

All competitors that cannot run at a sub-5hr marathon pace should make themselves familiar with the alternate route for slow marathoners and obey instructions from marshals on the day.

 

Course:

Be a part of Australia’s premier marathon and race alongside marathon legends. Circle around Albert Park Lake, Flinders Street Station, pass the St Kilda beach foreshore and cross the finish line at the MCG to cheers from supporters, family and friends. The Nike Melbourne Marathon is a competitive, adrenaline-filled race for those experienced in marathon running who want to set a PB on our fast and flat course, and is also perfect for first-timers and less experienced marathon runners.

Bib Collection:

The Runners Expo is located on the external concourse of the MCG. With an exciting array of fitness specific stores, you’ll have plenty of things to see and do before and after your race, as well as if you are visiting the Race Week Office to collect your race pack, visiting the official event merchandise store or browsing our sponsor activations!

The Expo will be located on the external concourse of the MCG between Gates 2 and 3.

 

Expo Date:

Thursday 8th October 8:00am – 6:00pm

Friday 9th October 8:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday 10th October 8:00am – 4:00pm

Sunday 11th October 7:30am – 2:00pm
