Friday 2026/5/22  Full Day City Tour

After breakfast, we will depart for a full-day sightseeing tour of this beautiful city. You will visit Cape Point via Hout bay and Chapmans Peak, visit the reserve with funicular. Transfer to Black Marlin restaurant for lunch. Continue in the direction of Boulders Beach and visit the penguins. Transfer back to the hotel at 18:00. (Includes breakfast and lunch)

  •  The Cape Reserve is a nature reserve that is home to superb native flora and fauna. Baboons, several species of antelope, smaller mammals, birds and reptiles inhabit this land. A funicular will allow you to climb to the top of a promontory: Steep cliffs and sandy coves where the blue waters of the Atlantic come to roll with power form a spectacle that we never get tired of.
  •  Boulder Beach is located at Simon's Town Seaport. This beach is home to a vast colony of African penguins. These penguins are one of 17 species that inhabit the coastal regions of several countries around the world and it is the only native species in Africa. There are +/- 2500 penguins in the colony at Boulders Beach Simonstown.

Saturday 2026/5/23 Half Day City Tour & Expo & Pre-race Dinner

After breakfast, we will depart for a half-day sightseeing tour of this beautiful city.  You will visit Table Mountain incl Fast Track cable car (weather permitting of course).   Depart in the direction of town and visit the city centre and Bo-kaap. By late morning we'll stop at the Marathon Expo at DHL Stadium. If you haven't collected your race kit yet, you can pick it up there. If you've already collected your race packet, we'll take you directly back to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Cape Town at your leisure. In the evening, the MTT team will host a pre-race dinner at the hotel. (Includes breakfast and dinner)

  •      The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau approximately three kilometres (2m) from side to side, edged by steep cliffs. The plateau, flanked by Devils Peak to the east and by Lions Head to the west, forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town. This broad sweep of mountainous heights, together with Signal Hill, forms the natural amphitheater of the City Bowland Table Bay harbour. It is 1,086 meters (3,563ft) above sea level, and about 19 meters (62ft) higher than the cable station at the western end of the plateau. Today Table Mountain is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
